Section 21: Almost one million private renters given no-fault evictions since 2019

In 2019, the Conservative Party promised to end section 21 notices — orders that allow landlords to evict tenants without giving a reason.

Since then, according to the charity Shelter, almost a million private renters have been forced to move under the orders.

Sky News understands that the Renter’s Reform Bill will be back in the Commons next week.
