Six months have passed since the October 7 terror attacks by Hamas and the start of the Israeli military operation in Gaza that followed. Over 33,000 Palestinians have been killed so far, says the Hamas-run health authority. Around 130 hostages remain in captivity after some were released in November in exchange for Palestinian prisoners in Israel.
