Voters in the eastern German state of Brandenburg are voting in regional elections. Polls give the far-right anti-immigration AfD party a slim lead over the incumbent Social Democrats, who have ruled the region since 1990. The AfD is hoping for a second state election win. Earlier this month they won the election in the eastern region of Thuringia, marking the biggest success for a German far-right party since World War II.
