Taiwan hit by biggest earthquake in 25 years

At least nine people are known to have died after Taiwan was rocked by a large earthquake.

Taiwan’s earthquake monitoring agency said Wednesday morning’s quake was magnitude 7.2 on the Richter scale, while the US Geological Survey put it at 7.4 and Japan’s meteorological agency put it at 7.7.
