Israel’s parliament has voted to shut down the UN’s main aid agency for Palestinians UNRWA in Israel and occupied East Jerusalem.
The move comes despite widespread international pressure from the US and other allies against such a step. The UN agency depends on Israel’s cooperation to deliver aid to those areas.
Israel accuses the agency’s employees of involvement in the October 7th terror attacks.
