On Sunday, thousands of Palestinians, displaced by Israel’s military offensive in Gaza, sought to return to their homes in the enclave’s northern areas upon hearing it was safe to depart central Gaza.
Ahead of a potential invasion of Rafah, many are leaving the south, in the hopes of reuniting with relatives left behind.
