Thousands of Israelis have taken to the streets in Tel Aviv and other cities to protest Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government. Many demonstrators criticized his handling of the war in Gaza and called for Netanyahu to step down. They were joined by the families of hostages still being held by Hamas, demanding that Netanyahu bring them home. Israel believes 130 hostages remain in Gaza, including more than 30 who are presumed dead. The protest later descended into clashes with police.
