Tremendous trees: World’s largest trees flourishing in UK

There are more giant redwood trees in the UK than in their native US, a study has found.

The trees, which can grow to 90 metres, were brought to the UK in the Victorian era around 160 year ago.

They consequently thrived, and experts think there are now more than 500,000 of them in Britain.
