Turkey’s main opposition Republican People’s Party has had some big wins in Sunday’s local elections.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan described it as a setback but he says it’s not the end of the road for his party.

Al Jazeera’s Sinem Koseoglu spoke to voters on the streets of Istanbul.

Ozge Genc is a Visiting Fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs.
She says the results have reflected the opposition’s widening of its electoral appeal.
