‘Two dead’ in school shooting in San Bernardino, California

At least two people – both adults – have reportedly been killed in a classroom shooting at a school in Southern California.

According to the mayor of San Bernardino, east of Los Angeles, one of the dead was the gunman.

Another two people, possibly students – were apparently hit by gunfire. They’ve been taken to hospital.

The local police chief said the shooting at Northpark Elementary School appeared to be a “murder-suicide”, adding that it was believed the suspect was “down”.
