The Hamas-run health ministry says 87 people are either killed or missing after the Israeli military conducted strikes on Beit Lahiya in the north of Gaza Saturday and overnight into Sunday. The strikes left one of the highest death tolls in a single attack in months. The UN has condemned the strike. Authorities in Gaza say two of the territory’s three remaining hospitals were also hit. Israel has intensified its military operation in northern Gaza, and says it is targeting Hamas militants.
