US launches airstrikes on targets across Iraq and Syria | Middle East tensions

The US has carried out airstrikes on Iraq and Syria in retaliation for an attack that killed three American troops in Jordan.

The Iraqi military has warned that the strikes will have “disastrous” consequences for the region.

The White House says the attacks would be the first in a series in retaliation for the deaths of the three serviceman.
