Vaughan Gething is set to become the new first minister of Wales after winning the Welsh Labour leadership contest – becoming the first black man to hold the post.
Speaking to Sky’s Tamara Cohen, Mr Gething said he is “the only person that looks like me” to represent a Welsh constituency in the UK parliament.
The 50-year-old politician added: “Once you’re here, you’ve got to do the job. There are people who are ready to judge you and you need to be able to meet that test.”
