Vote 2024: Shadow minister bets Kay Burley £10 election will be in May

Jonathan Ashworth, the shadow paymaster general, has claimed that this year’s general election is “definitely coming in May”.

He told Sky News “my challenge today to Rishi Sunak is name that date.”

Rishi Sunak has previously said it is his “working assumption” that the election will take place in the second half of 2024.
