Watch live: House of Lords debate Rwanda bill

The House of Lords is debating the government’s ‘Safety of Rwanda Bill’ that aims to declare Rwanda a safe country to deport illegal immigrants or asylum seekers to.

The Lords have previously defied Rishi Sunak to vote against the ratification of the UK’s new treaty with Rwanda, with peers voting 214 to 171 to not ratify the agreement.
