What Georgia election results mean for Georgia, the EU and Russia | DW News

The electoral commission has declared the pro-Russian Georgian Dream party winner of parliamentary elections. With almost all the votes counted official results give them over 54 percent of the vote, in a poll seen as crucial for the former Soviet republic’s future. The country’s pro-European Union opposition says the results were falsified and the election stolen.
